Check out this amazing look at Salem season 2 – so excited to see John’s journey! Mark your calenders for April 5th when SALEM will return!
As a way to show you are a proud #Westaholic I thought it would be a nice idea to create an online shop for the site and I will create some custom t-shirts for fans to buy. The t-shirts will be sold at a set price as set by the online store – when a new design goes out it will be $14.00 for the first 72 hours and then $20.00 after that. For the launching shirt I have done a design which will let you show off how you are a true Westaholic! The shirt is available in both t-shirt and tank-top in a range of colours.
I have now added Shane’s 2003 appearances to the gallery, and a total of 471 high quality pictures are in the gallery so make sure to check them out!
Check out this first look sneak peek promotional picture of Shane with his new look for John in season 2 and accompanying artcile. Personally, I feel the author is a little harsh as the wig was very realistic and nowhere does Brannon say they got rid of it for reasons other than character and storyline reasons.
Wigged out! The supernatural 17th-century world of WGN America’s thriller Salem is back for a spellbinding second season, but it’s missing one very special “cast member” – Shane West’s fake and floppy wig! West’s character Captain John Alden, a war vet and the series’ main protagonist, was the subject of much ire for his very fake hairpiece during season one – so much so that West got a slick new haircut for season two.
“John has gone through a physical transformation,” executive producer/series creator Brannon Braga told Us Weekly about Alden’s new look. “The Indians who carried him away at the end of last season have nursed him back to health and put him through an initiation that has armed him with certain spiritualistic weapons. He’s now a man on a mission.”
West himself even commented on the headpiece – which took on a life of its own on the Internet.
“The wig’s been trouble,” the Walk to Remember actor told TVLine back in April 2014. “It’s been a source of conversation for the entire run of this first season. It’s wild, man.”
Salem, which premieres its new season April 5 and also stars Revenge’s Ashley Madekwe, explores the Massachusetts town’s infamous witchcraft trials – with an emphasis on the paranormal. The second season promises more than just a makeover for West – recurring guest stars Lucy Lawless and Stuart Townsend will join the returning cast, as a witch and a secretive doctor, respectively. Shane West is one of the stars of WGN America’s hit TV show Salem. Shane is a native of Louisiana. He’s from Baton Rouge. But he has never been to Mardi Gras in New Orleans. Not until WGNO News with a Twist features guy Wild Bill Wood invited him to spend the day on one of the world’s most famous streets – Bourbon Street. – Source
